Dry-type Transformers

Features

  • Low partial discharge with minimal noise.


  • Excellent overload performance, can operate at 150% rated load with forced air cooling. Equipped with a temperature protection control system.


  • Constructed with flame-retardant and fire-resistant materials to ensure safe operation. Environmentally friendly and non-polluting, it can be conveniently installed close to load centres.


  • Maintenance-free operation and easy installation, low overall operating costs and minimal loss.


  • Excellent moisture resistance, maintain normal functions under up to 100% relative humidity.


  • Excellent heat dissipation capabilities.


  • Over 10,000 units already in operation, proving the reliability of the equipment.


  • The core is made of high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheets, featuring a 45° full mitered joint structure. The core limbs are bound with insulating tape, and the clamping and fastening components are surface-treated to prevent corrosion.


  • The core is sealed with epoxy resin and strapped with insulated tapes to minimise the effect of moisture and corrosion. The clamps and fasteners are surface-treated to ensure corrosion-proof.


  • The high-voltage windings are made of copper wires and insulated with glass fibre-filled epoxy resin, of which the thermal expansion coefficients of expansion is close to the copper conductor.


  • The insulation possesses excellent shock resistance and shatter resistance. Its non-flammability eliminates production of toxic gas during any faults.


  • Foil type windings is adopted in the low-voltage windings. Foil type winding are subject to less electrical stress than conventional windings hence have higher AC and impulse voltage withstand characteristics. Their thermal expansion coefficients are similar to cast resin. resulting in minimum thermal stress.

Amorphous core variation

  • Core made of amorphous alloy, resulting in 75% to 80% lower no-load losses than those of traditional silicon steel cores.


  • Excellent heat dissipation and exceptional overload capacity. The transformer can operate continuously at 120% overload. Even under IP45 conditions, it can run at full load for extended periods without forced air cooling.


  • Suitable for industrial and mining sites operating on a multi-shift schedule with a load factor between 50% and 80%.


  • The low-voltage winding adopts a foil-winding structure, offering strong short-circuit resistance


  • Adopts a Dyn11 connection group, reducing harmonic impact on the power grid and improving power quality.

Enclosures for dry transformers

Features

The stainless steel enclosure is designed to provide extra protection to the transformer. The PI rating can reach IP20 and IP23. IP20 enclosures can prevent invasion of solid objects with diameters greater than 12 mm. IP23 enclosures can prevent water ingress with an angle less than 60 ° . IP23 is suitable for outdoor environment.
