Standards

The 66 – 500 kV HV and EHV XLPE cable products comply with but not limited to the following standards:

  • IEC 60060 - High-voltage test techniques.
  • IEC 60228 - Conductors of insulated cables.
  • IEC 60229 - Insulation resistance of cables.
  • IEC 60230 - Impulse tests on cables and accessories.
  • IEC 60071 - Insulation coordination.
  • IEC 60287 - Calculation of the current rating of cables.
  • IEC 60811 - Tests on insulating and sheathing materials for cables.
  • IEC 60859 - Measuring instruments for assessing cable properties.
  • IEC 60949 - Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for high-voltage cable systems.
  • IEC 60885 - Testing of cables for partial discharge.
  • IEC 60183 - Guidance on the use of IEC 60183 for the selection of insulation for high-voltage cables.
  • IEC 62067 - Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages above 150 kV up to 300 kV.
  • IEC 60840 - Power cables with extruded insulation and their accessories for rated voltages of 30 kV up to 150 kV.
